The CIF Northern Section is very excited to announce a new initiative that we will launch this spring season. For the first time ever, we will add wheelchair and ambulatory events at our Northern Section Track and Field Finals to be held at West Valley High School on Friday, May 26, 2017. This first year, we will be offering 3 events; 100m, 400m, and shot put. These inclusive events will add to the fantastic display of student-athlete competition at the section finals.
We are recommending that these athletes “practice” for the section finals by competing against traditional athletes in regular season meets, and being a member of your team is imperative. Please help us find these students on your campus, and get them involved in the meaningful and challenging world of high school athletics.
